Pizza toppings suggestions

On pizza? Fine in a salad of course.
Gorgonzola and walnut pizza is lush. You don't overdo the walnuts (they should also be broken). Few dollops of mascarpone here and there. Much better than some of the over-the-top suggestions upthread.

Mind you, I'm very much of the view that margherita is the gold standard.
 
Fuck sweetcorn with your ass. Not you Danny! Intriguing.... A good margherita is great, but it demands top top ingredients. You can be a bit sloppier when you add more toppings, IMO.
 
Oh for the love of god - FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS THREAD they're both veg. Fruits are a subset of vegetables anyway.

I agree that for the purposes of this thread - which is about what you put on a pizza wherein a substantial ingredient is bound to be another fruit anyway, tomatoes - of course it makes no odds.
I just thought it was a vaguely interesting factoid, that's all.
 
What about herbs and stuff?

I made one not so long ago and sprinkled rosemary on it which worked well, but my usual way would be 2 or 3 cloves of garlic and a handfull of fresh basil leaves in the passata with dried oregano and black pepper on top

It's not a pizza burger, it's burgers that are vaguely pizza shaped. On that basis, a quiche is a pizza...
