Operation Venetic - hundreds arrested for 'leading secret criminal lives', and £54m seized [so far]

Precisely. And twat faces like the "Essex boys" and other violent big mouthed fools were probably responsible for a tiny percentage of those.

Mmmm. Don't kid yourself that at the very top the Ecstasy market isn't run by nasty dangerous people. If only there was some sort of solution to this problem involving regulation and legalization...

Well, a few million euros, tons of chowder, busts of millions of pills, torture chambers. It has clearly hit things for some groups. However, I suspect many others are too sensible to rely on tech gizmos for security.

but who has been sustaining much of this, the buyers, they do it because they have a market

of course if much of it was legalised, but at moment it isn't

I was referring to 1992.

The same applied. People like you and me might have bought off our friendly mates but those pills started life in heavy atmospheres in Holland. That's the point of prohibition. Creates a massive lucrative black market that 'organised crime' moves in on. Even a lot of the people running e.g the M25 raves were small time crims who became big time crims with massive houses in Basildon and nasty security that comes with that.

The best ecstasy in this country in the last few years came from a Manchester crew. They were not cuddly people. A lot of money was involved and therefore so were guns. They're now doing 18 years each btw.

1992 it was, as now run by nasty cunts. Three dead in Range Rover kind of hints that all is not cuddly-wuddly in the xtc market...
And they were responsible for how much of the 2million? Basically fuck all. A Range Rover on lease and some ultra violence makes movies but doesn't cover what was going on. Their death made no impact whatsoever on supply.

Nah. They were part of a middleman supply chain that involved lots of people just like them who happened not to get caught and known. Dutch ecstasy manufacturers, the money men, have never been nice people.

The chemists are, they're not.

They were at the most violent end of the supply chain, as evidenced by their demise. Some hippy dippy chemist in the Dutch countryside may have been cool, but every cunt who touched them between him and probably the cunt your dealer bought them off was in to serious criminality that was backed up with extreme violence.

Evidence or complete supposition? The Dutch were notorious for being money grabbing blaggers. Which is probably why by 1992 so much of the supply and manufacture was nothing to do with them.

The ‘Essex Boys’ were distributers in their patch, which happened to include Leah Betts’ nightclub. Every town up and down the country had their own Essex Boys, fifteen quid a pop on the dance floor, two million a week being dropped, the money was stratospheric. Who cares where they were made, the supply chain for illegal drugs is massive money and as a result is filled with very nasty, violet arseholes. That was the case in 1992 and nothing at all has changed. Serious crime today is drugs. There’s a whole other economy going on that is the drugs world, it masquerades as many legitimate operations but at the end of the day it flogs shit that costs pennies to make and can be sold at high prices and it is wholly unregulated and market share is bought through violence. These EnchroChat fools will go down for a long time but drug users will not notice any difference, possibly a surge in quality as new players establish their markets, then a fall and many OD’s. All part of the war on drugs, saving our youth and that...

This is bollocks.

I'll elucidate because you really don't know what you are talking about.

The first mass production of MDMA came out of California. A guy called Saxon Hatchett. It only supplied USA. But it took off big time in 1989 in Europe because a man called Michael Clegg bought a massive supply of safrole and moved his production to Brazil, away from the DEA. He started supplying Europe through the Dutch criminal market. He did this because, like with so much illicit stuff, the biggest and best port to move through in the world is Rotterdam.

Once the Dutch had their hands on this incredible product they got their own chemists to start producing it in Holland and the Belgium borders. Again, there is good reason for them choosing their own country and not Kent. The Dutch criiminal justice system is a far milder version than most places in the world. So if caught, sentences are more lenient and easier to serve. By 1992 most ecstasy supply and production had been moved to Holland.

Manufacture in the UK is a relatively recent thing. The Manchester crew were by far the best and the most successful but this is literally in the last decade. Drugs are moved through Holland, full stop.

Just look at who is being nicked. The UK's drug network is a northwest business. Obviously London features heavily, but northwest is where the main levers are being pulled. And still today they all have offices in Holland cos that's where the drugs pass through.

And I have to say, I fucking love MDMA, it's brilliant.

Tip the the iceberg
Yes many of these are or have been around Atkinson at some point . Aside from the Creagan fallout there’s also been a few reprisals which has led to deaths and imprisonment amongst some smaller firms linked with Atkinson but who like to be seen as independent . We’ll know that there’s been a substantial capture when the post codes change to the posher areas.
