Lawyer's fees, beetroot and music
Apart from CBeebies and the odd archived documentary, there's nothing worth paying for on iPlayer in my opinion and the idea of giving the BBC a penny doesn't appeal to me.
Obviously, there are plenty of options to continue viewing iPlayer content without paying, but I am tempted to try to wean myself off it. Torrents and dodgy streaming sites are an option - as is ignoring the change to the rules or getting a VPN - but I thought this might be a good moment for people to suggest online viewing that isn't particularly.... pirated, complicated, faffy:
Websites that curate interesting films that are out of copyright, or where the copyright holder is unlikely to be bothered, or they even approve of free online distribution; DIY stuff; good free video podcasts; entertaining or informative youtube channels. The sort of stuff that used to get viewed online before Web 2.0 went completely mental.
Your recommendations would be most appreciated.
