Oh Ye Gods, Please, please, please make it sunny for The Glade

Good luck everyone. I can't believe the weather today. It's so dark

I'm doing two days at Lovebox this weekend and not exactly relishing the idea at the moment if it stays like this :(

Sunday looks OK, but today on five live, I heard the UK is set to get all of July's rain today.

Hope the drugs are good at the Glade, looks like they are going to be needed.

well they are saying on some other forums it's carnage, they are not letting anyone in at the moment and the local roads are chaos.

that could just be shit stirrers though.

camp at the top of the hill, then wade through the music tents @ the bottom of the hill :D

and laugh @ the psy trance trusti's in the outdoor bit

could be cancelled - awaiting confirmation from my promoter.

very likely that today is cancelled and could be the whole thing.

:(

not suprising though, given the geography of the site.

its the end of July ffs! lets have the end of the world, plagues of locusts, all that shit or stop raining.

put up or shut up nature  :D

Poor Glade.
Oh look, now there's a little sun in London as Lovebox and Glade crew check the wreckage of their sites. Welcome to February, the new summer.

Oh god, not Lovebox as well?

I just need *one* outdoor event this summer than isn't blighted by rain. Just the one. I'm getting more pessimistic as the weeks pass.

Apparently people are leaving the site cos it’s completely flooded – they’re not letting any more people in and thatcham train station is close.

Not looking good.

:(

Latest report from JTG:

"It looks a bit fucked. Half the stewards want to leave, nobody can get in or out. I've just volunteered for extra shifts, the show must go on!"

The mans a legend

rocketman's info on the other thread is very useful.
Local traffic is fucked due to roads being flooded.
Overkill stage drowning but they are hoping that it will drain in time to be on tonight.
Festival not yet canceled.
Measures are being taken.
Glastonbury in the mud conditions.

Looking at the weather forecast for the area if they can get though today they'll be OK - tomorrow and Sunday are showing as showers with the odd bit of sun, not the monsoon of the moment.

Thats how I read it too, and similar in London, with luck :)

The worst may be over ...<fingers crossed for all event goers>

but Sunday is only half a day, it only runs from lunchtime till late afternoon.

and i'm going for Bangface, really, which is tonight on the stage at most risk of being shut :(

Looking at those road closures anyone setting off now could well just be adding to the problems, people are being advised to travel "only if absolutely necessary" :(
