New star trek film

It's worth remembering that when he fights other Klingons Worf invariably wins. This is despite him being raised by namby-pamby humans. He's still no Martok though- obviously the coolest Klingon ever.

"War is much more fun when you're WINNING!"

Wesley Crusher was special! The Traveller took him to squire a master race of short arses or something. His mum packed his lunch.

Wesley Crusher was a twat.

I thought all that shit was a set up for a spin off series. Star Trek - The Wesley Crusher Adventures.

I half glad it wasnt but something in me would like to see all the crazy things a kid who could go anywhere in the universe could see.

Wesley Crusher was a twat.
.

a few points.

a) Wesley was a twat. Will Wheaton who played Wesley is a really nice guy who writes an amusing blog, occasionally acts, and comments on technology for several websites.

b) Voyager sucked. Voyager sucked like the sweat from a dead Ferengi's balls. The Irish holodeck bits? Leonardo's workshop? Tom Paris? All blew several kinds of shit. Plus it had the dumbest fucking ending of any tv show of all time. "We're being chased by the borg". "No wait we're chasing the Borg," "Tuvac press the button!". "oh look the Borg blew up" "We're home!!" The end.

c) Enterprise was dire. Though a mate's then boyfriend was up for the role of Captain Archer, and (I kid you not) was told by their agent they were looking for someone more like Scott Bakula ish.

d) None of you have mentioned this is being directed by JJ Abrams, and the writing team behind er, Transformers (upon looking at their imdb.com profile it appears; Transformers 2 is a possible goer fan-fucking-tastic )

I wonder if it was just me that thought Tasha Yar's Romulan clone looked dead horny?

She was NOT A CLONE.

She was Tasha Yar's half Romulan daughter, Tasha Yar went back in time to the Enterprise B, to fight off the Roumlans and protect the Klingons. She was captured by the Romulans and had a daughter with one of them.

A daughter who just happened to look identical to her mum only with pointy ears.

Honestly people.

God I miss The Next Generation.

Nostalgia demonstrated through Light Operetta!

Fancying brainwashed Romulan- Human hybrids!

Indignant geekery!

And thus with these three entirely perfect consecutive posts, this thread officially became one of my favourite's EVAH!:D:D

My missuz contends that the best TNG series can be identified by a bearded Ryker.

He's got a beard in every series past the first one.

The best TNG start when Doctor Crusher returns (everyone gets the new jumpers with collars) and it kind of goes down hill once Data gets emotions.

pause.

I haven't watched TNG in nearly a decade. How is it that I can remember this shit but have trouble keeping up with last week's Deadwood!

That doesn't happen 'til the films, which were fairly shite (except First Contact).

Because Star Trek is real!

It'll be shite, just like all the films since number four and the series since the original. Star Trek is drek.

I've held back I really have. Numerous mistakes in this thread and I've stayed quiet. Voyager was/will be in the Delta quadrant not the fucking Gamma quadrant everyone knows that. I woulddn't of bothered but you corrected someone and made a mistake. You made this personal not me. First off although your technically right Tasha Yar went back in time etc it wasn't the Tasha Yar from the main timeline but a messed up one where the federation was at war with the Kilingons. I'm sure you knew that just clearing things up. Then we get to the real fuck up. The one that made my blood run cold. The one that made me wish the ground would open up and swallow me like a hole in the ground that eats people. It was the Enterprise - C. Honestly.

You are incorrect Sir. Data's brother gives him the emotional chip, after they find the emotional Borg who had become corrupt after the Borg allowed Hugh, back into the collective.

I feel the series went down hill after this season opener.

Oh now it's on, bitch.

This thread could descend into Where no fan has gone before territory.

But he doesn't put in on, sucka. He sees how it fucked up his bro and puts it in storage. He gets it out again in the film Generations.

Pedantic quibbling. Lore is feeding him emotions, hence he has emotions.

Didn't say he got the emotional chip, I just said he got emotions didn't I?

Only for that one episode. Which, sirrah, was not the implication of your original post. So there. :p

Hmmm....whathisface comes across quite good as Spock. Kirk just seems a bit generic, like the fresh but old look of the interior of the Enterprise. Dreading Simon 'I used to be funny' Pegg's Scotty though...
