Naked Gun
Williams: "I sent the note to the lab; they're demanding a million dollars"
Drebbin: "Why would the lab demand a million dollars?"

Airplane, after some reflection.

1) The running "Looks like I picked the wrong day to give up....." gag.
2) The old lady, "I speak jive" scene.

Idk the title sounds vaguely familiar, off to imdb to see if ive forgotten the entire film or just dont remember it from the title, lol.

Airplane!

Striker: "Surely you can't be serious?"
Rumack: "I am serious. And don't call me Shirley."

Watched Airplane at the cinema in Glasgow when it came out, at the age of 13. Sat on the stairs on the aisle, the place was that packed! It's still the funniest cinema experience I have ever known.

Airplane. It pretty much pioneered that kind of silly gags, which have since been copied in countless films.

Too many to mention them all, but I do love the queue of passengers waiting to slap the hysterical woman.

And the automatic pilot :D

Airplane by a hair's length. Leslie Nielsen is a genius.

I think I might have to watch it again I haven't seen it in ages.

was on a couple of weeks ago

Then they had Airplane II on. Not quite the same :(

I think I have watched the second one but I can't remember jack about it so that shows how good it was.

I remember the last time I watched the first one it was on before the watershed and pretty much all the best gags were cut.

It's a space flight.

William Shatner pops up in it

Considering it was only on a couple of weeks ago, I barely remember any of it

If anyone can find airplane online streaming (not torrents - my connection can't cope with them), I'd be grateful. I have tried, but have google-fu fail.

Oh dude, how do you expect me to choose between these two masterpieces of US comedy?

I think I'll go for NG, though, as it had 3 cracking films (OK 33 1/3 is a bit shitter) and a great preceding TV series in Police Squad. Airplane only had one film (we'll overlook the crappy Airplane 2 which was directed by someone else)

It was shit and as I say, a different director.

Pretty much every line of Naked Gun 2 and a half (the best of the 3) is quotable. You have to watch it about 50 times to notice every joke.

i don't think i've ever seen airplane 2. it's in space or something isn't it?

btw i'd also recommend scary movie 3, that's by the zuccer bros and although it's not quite as good as these 2 it's still brilliant

Yeah it's in space. And really not the same.

I'll have a look at scary movie 3. He also made My Boss's Daughter, which I thought was absolute gash the first time I watched it, but rewatched it again quite recently and suddenly found it hilarious
