As the original poster Doubledown I think you need to keep us fully posted about any successes!
I like.Inspired by the thread I bought a new shirt - £45, Lambretta.
It looks and feels decent, haven't worn it yet though.

No and why must footwear have laces ?Are you 83 years old and unable to do up shoelaces?
You have too much time on your hands.Hmm. According to the Mr Porter website, "There's something about tasselled loafers that says, I'm secure enough in my confidence and judgment to adorn my feet with decorations that serve no practical purpose whatsoever" but pause a moment and look at the tragic backstory of the tassled loafer

Ooh, that's a low blow, exactly the kind of thing a tasseled loafer wearer would say.You have too much time on your hands.

Sounds partial Clarkson though Brogues, tweed, skinny jeans*I like the fit of Lambretta shirts.
Was wearing a plain white today with dark blue skinny Diesel jeans, brown brogues and a dark green tweedish type jacket.
Thought I was rocking the grown up look pretty well, without going full Clarkson.

*not Clarkson, worse
Some of these links I've liked. Not these though. These clothes look like they've been dragged off the victims of a mining disaster. They should be returned to the victims' families for burial.More british made / mad expensive stuff - Tender (some of this is a bit weird, but I like a lot of it.)
1 vote for plimsolls. Rope isn't really designed to work as the basis for a shoe, especially if it rains.
They must have laces otherwise you are apparently oldPlimsoles or espadrilles?
I have never worn plimsoles
You can get short socks that just cover your foot.I have never worn plimsoles but don't they make your feet sweat? And that you need socks?
What? Not even at school? I thought everyone wore plimsolls for PE.

I'd say so - I just think of them as any of that sort of canvas shoe tbh.
They look better with laces IMO.
Christ...buying casual shoes is so damn difficult.
