A rainbow flag has been spotted flying high outside the MI6 headquarters in London today.

Showing its support for the LGBT community, Britain's spy agency hoisted the colourful symbol to mark International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

It is not the first time the agency has shown its solidarity with gay rights, after erecting a rainbow flag outside its headquarters in June last year to show its support for Gay Pride.

I doubt it - no closeted spy gives a fuck about being found out by their paymasters. They've probably already revealed it to them in vetting. They care about being outed in their normal lives, which this doesn't have relevance to.

However, if you want a cynical angle, perhaps it's a play to recruit more LGBT etc spies. Or more generally to put a nice face on what they do, like the GCHQ Twitter account.
