Merging (or renaming) the two Brexit threads?

Brexit threads

  • Total voters
    42
  • Poll closed .
For that comparison to be valid, the title should have read:

"Merging (or renaming) the two Brexit threads, with £340m per week going to the NHS as a result"."
Change the thread title if you think it will sway the electorate

We've now got two post-Brexit threads where the some identical content is being posted, so it would seem prudent to either merge them, or rename them to stop pointless/confusing duplication of posts.

The post-Brexit trade deal & transition period
Brexit 2021 onwards; project reality

So what shall we do?
Happy with any of the first 3 outcomes offered.
The idea of the project reality thread was to afford a discrete discussion of post deal outcomes. (seeing as we are now beyond the transition period...obvs)
But...whatever works best?

Some sort of unworkably complicated administrative fudge that attempts to allow content to transfer between the two and ultimately fails in even its most basic purpose, tipping the two threads into open conflict, please.

#Rejoin #FBPE

Lock the one about the transition period, that's over now.
we just have the reality of the f*****ing chaos left behind to deal with

£350m. You can't just pocket ten million quid unless you are a conservative mp.

I would put a soft border about 3/4 of the way through the first thread, and then a partial hard border between the two threads, and then allow posting on the first thread only for posters who had already posted on the second thread at that point in history. For posters who only posted before the soft border through the first thread was implemented, they would be allowed to post on the second thread if 50% of posters from after the soft border agreed, although they would have the right to post emoticons only, in any location. For posters who could prove that a grandparent had, or would have, posted on the second thread but only before the soft border was imposed on the first thread, they would be allowed to post on either thread but not move any arguments from the second thread to either portion of the first thread, unless their grandparents had, or would have, only ever posted on the first thread but prior to the hard border having been agreed in the preliminary agreement that will by the way have to be negotiated, before any of the new borders are implemented. Both threads need a parking area for any posters awaiting confirmation of any details of the rules which may not have been clarified prior to the changes taking place.
