He did get away with it for decades! The more I read about him, the more loathsome he seems. Apparently Nestle complained about him after staff alleged Wallace had joked about their weight while filming Inside The Factory. It's just mad that people think they can get away with stuff like this.
Well I guess they do. I mean he (allegedly) has up till now.The more I read about him, the more loathsome he seems. There are thousands upon thousands of crass men like Wallace who assert social dominance through performative coarseness. Opprobrium should be saved for the institution that decided Wallace was untouchable talent, and fostered a culture where complaining about that sort of thing was pointless and career-limiting.
He did get away with it for decades!
In the end, those not pulling him up haven't really done him a favour either as his fall is now so much greater. A stern talking to and then an official warning could have stopped this.
And by 'those not pulling him up', I don't mean contestants/fellow presenters. I mean the people paying him the big money, his employers.
i wish they'd bring him back, dr grossman would be a far superior presenter to the lacklustre wallaceI actually preferred the Lloyd Grossman version anyway.
Yeah but where was the journey?I actually preferred the Lloyd Grossman version anyway.

"I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday, and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people," he said in a video posted on Instagram.
"I wasn't in a good head space when I posted it. I've been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion, I felt very alone, under siege, yesterday, when I posted it.
Like they’ve kept screening every other BBC show where men have behaved like utter cunts.I'm seeing calls today from MPs to suspend the current series which is a total kick in the teeth for the contestants. But I can't see how they can keep screening it.
Someone earlier said Si King as a replacement.
I think that would be a wonderful choice.
Yeh he's always struck me as a good sortI think he's too good for Masterchef. Too kind, too decent, not someone who'd be comfortable in what seems to be a not particularly healthy or happy environment if other sources are to be believed.
That's rich coming from Nestle, a company who have had campaigns against them going back much further than I can remember.Apparently Nestle complained
Brilliant idea but he is too nice and you wouldn't stop him talking.Someone earlier said Si King as a replacement.
Yep, who knows, maybe they will get a woman to do the job; no reason why not is there. They're totally gonna go 'woke' for his replacement.
