Masterchef: The Professionals

"My legal team has advised that I avoid trying to further upset the bitter old lady brigade.... D'OH I'VE DONE IT AGAIN"

The more I read about him, the more loathsome he seems. Apparently Nestle complained about him after staff alleged Wallace had joked about their weight while filming Inside The Factory. It's just mad that people think they can get away with stuff like this.

He did get away with it for decades!

In the end, those not pulling him up haven't really done him a favour either as his fall is now so much greater. A stern talking to and then an official warning could have stopped this.

And by 'those not pulling him up', I don't mean contestants/fellow presenters. I mean the people paying him the big money, his employers.

There are thousands upon thousands of crass men like Wallace who assert social dominance through performative coarseness. Opprobrium should be saved for the institution that decided Wallace was untouchable talent, and fostered a culture where complaining about that sort of thing was pointless and career-limiting.

Unfortunately the culture where women complaining about men doing this sort of thing is pointless and career limiting goes far beyond the BBC.

Still worth pointing out both the individuals who do it and the institutions which enable them.

Masterchef is a massive moneyspinner. I mean I know they have regional versions as well but the UK version is also hugely popular globally. I guess they're a bit reluctant to break up their winning formula.

I'm seeing calls today from MPs to suspend the current series which is a total kick in the teeth for the contestants. But I can't see how they can keep screening it.

Mad that they've stuck with him for so long during all these work place "bants." He's hardly a unique talent. Meeja group think wanker bubble. To be clear, aimed at his employers, not the guests, junior staff.

The Greg speaks...
"I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday, and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people," he said in a video posted on Instagram.

"I wasn't in a good head space when I posted it. I've been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion, I felt very alone, under siege, yesterday, when I posted it.

Poor love. It's not easy being a repulsive scuzzbucket.

Someone earlier said Si King as a replacement.

I think that would be a wonderful choice.

I think he's way too good for Masterchef. Too kind, too decent, too ego-free, not someone who'd be comfortable in what seems to be, Wallace aside, a not particularly healthy or happy environment, if other sources are to be believed.

ETA. A link to the 'other sources' I mentioned above.

They're totally gonna go 'woke' for his replacement... damage control. they're gonna want someone as far from a cunty little racist sexist Millwall fan as possible. That camp guy from Glow Up with the hilarious moustache... He probably knows nothing about food but then Wallace didn't either....

hmm not sure what the groveling apology has been issued for.. he got the laugh from. the football crowd and now only people who'll hire him now is GB News were he can rage against wokeness at the BBC to his heart content
