MAFSUK 2024

I love the way the programme pretends to be a serious experiment, whilst putting the participants in situations designed to rile them up!

Very confused about Kieron and Kristina. They seemed so tight and then out of the blue they're having huge issues.

I feel asleep half way through again but I just wanted to come here to say CHRISTINA’S DRESS OMG THOSE SLEEVES I need those sleeves in my life. Too short for me and the neckline is too deep for me but the SLEEVES!!!!!

I haven’t watched from the first series but it’s got less and less “serious” as time has gone on. This UK series is more than ever before a series of tasks and situations designed to provoke conflict.

The Aussie version started to figure out that all people really want to watch is the drama so the “boring” stuff has gradually been cut out. There used to be a lot more focus on actually giving the participants counselling and tools to improve how they navigate relationships.

I think he is either terrified of commitment and is just realising this....or he just doesn't fancy Christina.....however its very clear that he is has been very hurt and damaged...hence the initial ott humour defence. However hopefully Christina's steadfast loyalty and commitment is what has enabled him to trust her enough to get into his trauma. Hopefully he is realising that he has to work through this in order to make way for this?

Am I missing something with Polly?
She wants more “intimacy”. She’s always going on about it.
Adam buys some sexy stuff.
Polly bursts into tears and walks out.
No wonder the lad’s confused.

I think if someone initially said you’re not their type and they’re not attracted to you, it’s hard to get past that. Especially because he has sex with her then said that.

She wants him to want her but also can’t trust it’s real. I think it’s nice he tried to do something to spice things up but it didn’t need underwear and toys, unless maybe then went and chose them together or he went on his own.

I can see why him going shopping with Amy would have freaked her out because she’d be so threatened by her.
Also, Alex had brought it all up again last week and said she had to beg Alex to sleep with her.

She’s not going to be feeling secure.

Saying that though, she’s also mean and a massive PITA!

Did i miss something or did they just put some campervans in in the last couple of days..

I don't know why but it's bugging me more this time that a "week" really is just one day.

Watching on +1, Lacey's mum mauling Nathan, urgh, well into sex pest territory, keep your hands to yourself you lech.
I really like Nathan, and him and Lacey seem to be really well matched - but her mum, urgh.

Bit grim that yes. The whole thing was horrible. Mum and sister jumping on their bed in the morning and then all watching him paint the wall.

It did get better when they sat down to eat. Mum seemed quite wise about ADHD and I think Lacey really seems like a nice person.

Am I missing something?
Ross lives in Manchester, Sasha lives in Walsall.
Why is this such a massive deal, they're less than 80 miles apart, could they not just move somewhere in between, which would be under an hour travel for either of them to see their families?
It takes longer than that to get across London ffs.

More manufactured drama. Who wants to move straight in with someone anyway? Well, people who go on this show, I suppose :D  But still. I'd have thought after this pressure cooker you might want to give it a normal go and just see each other like normal folk for a while.

Life's never all about a partner, there are always other things going on.
Kids almost certainly at the top of the list for those who have them, but even for people without children, a lot of other considerations too.
If anyone is in a relationship where just everything is about one another, then that's probably not very healthy anyway.
(Or maybe that's something you learn as you get a bit older or have more responsibilities, in comparison with a fairly young person on a reality show).

The thing is, you never see them talk about anything but relationships :D that's why the whole thing is so weird. There's no chat about cool stuff or amusing anecdotes or work. I find it really funny that they're so completely self absorbed. That's the real experiment - only talk about your relationship!

I mean yeah quite, go out to a gig or a park together, or go out for a night with friends either as a couple or separately to have some leisure time apart, it's a hothouse situation.
