Lunch should have its own thread

Brown lentil dahl from the freezer with a load spinnich. It's sub optimal getting the spinnich to wilt in the microwave, but it just about works. A pitta bread and store bought sour kraut to go with it.

Not been to thr canteen for lunch yet this year so thags about a 70 quid saving. Although spent £9 on bacon sandwichs in the morning when I've not got it together enough to sort breakfast so need to work on that.

Pasta with a tin of mackerel, hot sauce and spinnich. Weighed the pasta, but probably ate to much.

Managed to knock up a chilli in the slow cooker for tonight whilst I was at it.

NHS cafe four cheese pannini- going cheap (£1) cus the little cafe is closed tomorrow. Also bought cakes for the gyals I'm working with in gynae recovery as it's pay day and Friday! ❤

I weigh pasta, then look at the paltry 'recommended serving' of 75g and throw in a load more :D

I did an extra 20g for luck. It was enough but less then if I'd have weighed it.

I just chuck in what looks like a reasonable amount, then get surprised at how much is swells once cooked. 'oh shit, that's a lot of pasta' :D

This is what I would have done. And then ate it all anyway.

In one of the pressure cooker cookbooks I've got some recipes say you can do the pasta in it - might give it a go one day, It'll reduce the water bill at any rate.

It's too cold to do very much and it was something to do.

Two kinds of Polish pickled veggies (cucumber, green tomatoes, carrot, pepper, onions), ground flaxseed, tahini.
Calories, but healthy ones.

A small amount of Fitou ...

Since I got in an extra 3 miles today, I felt I needed refuelling prior to going for the second one in an hour or two...
So more of my jarred salad, milled flaxseed and tahini.

Made a really healthy breakfast of protein powder overnight oats with frozen fruit, chia and flax seed, but let my OH take the remains of last night's tea and ran out of energy to sort my own lunch, so canteen it was.

Chicken stew in a flatbread calling itself Sharwma and chips. I could have a nap now.

I noticed one of the xmas cheeses that we hadn't finished had gone completely mouldy :( so brought the other one into work to finish off for lunch. So old hag cheddar, with buttered toasted sourdough and hot garlic pickle.

Plum and an apple.

Pasta with a sauce I threw together the other night and a few veggie sausages.

Pasta at lunch probably doesn't help the diet, but at least they were veggie sausages and not cheap frozen meat ones.
