Lunch should have its own thread

I'm northern, we have gravy on nearly everything! :p

If you've not had gravy on fish and chips you've sadly missed out :D
Oh I had no doubt about you being Northern!
Travelled many times to Manchester for football etc.
I was considered quite the snob for refusing gravy..
Had to reprimand the vendor with rapping their knuckles with my cane.

Cafe jacket spud with cheese then beans, coleslaw on the side. Delicious. Lovely pot of tea too. Couldn't manage a slice of cake so got a big wedge of Victoria Sandwich to bring home, will have that later.

Slices of warm, freshly baked bread with butter. Never quite made it as far as a sandwich.
The bread recipe's great, but I don't like the fact it's called 'peasant bread', so it's the Glorious Loaf of the Agricultural Proletariat in my house.
Any food with 'peasant' in the description automatically puts Sneer #1 on my face, which is almost impossible to shift.

I love your alternative

Last bit of cottage cheese with onion, with spring onion, yellow pepper and radish, and the little bit of leftover stir fry from last night that I couldn't finish.

An orange and a tangerine. Not had an orange since I was a nipper. Never really got on with them, but got two in last week's Lidl box so giving it a go.

Been out for lunch and had -

tomato and pesto bruschetta, prawn linguine and a piece of tiramisu washed down with a glass of wine.
