Lunch should have its own thread

A very tasty nut roast in a very nice coastal town pub :)

I've not had a nut roast in ages, always a bit worried about peanuts (allergy). Am ok with other nuts, would scoff a cashew based one although I'd probably have to re-mortgage to afford that many cashews!

My mum does a "nut roast en croute" for special occasions which is like eating a fucking breezeblock, sorry mum. She does great pastry mind, but heavy doesn't quite go far enough to describe this particular dish. It hasn't put me off nut roasts though!

I had a cold roast chicken leg and some of the lovely potato salad that I made the other day from mostly yellow stickered ingredients - new potatoes (reduced to 30p), pink lady apples (big box of apple slices reduced to 30p, normally I'd buy whole apples but the price swung it), celery, red onion, mustard, mayonnaise, seasoning - very simple and fucking lush. The apple really made it IMO, will do again. Couldn't convince OH that he wanted walnuts in it too, and unfortunately forgot to add some to my portion when I served it out.

Went to Albufeira municipal market today and the veg stalls were full of a fantastic tomato called Rosa . It’s a slicing tomato vey few seeds and a lovely soft flavoursome flesh . Bought some sourdough , olives and some goats cheese for a light lunch.

Also took a photo of these moray eels but didn’t buy any

I've ordered a 2.5kg bag of seeds for bread by the way sojourner - will let you know what they are like when they arrive at the back end of next week. By the way, the company have a £25 minimum for free delivery policy, but they sell yeast and other stuff so it's easy to make it up to the minimum.

If the seeds turn out to be shit, at least the birds will be happy.

Using up some wholewheat tortillas that have been in the fridge a couple of weeks. So a prawn mayo and salad wrap, with radishes ont side.

Strawberry Skyr.

I had leftover quiche and some salad. Doughnut for afters (OH brought home some fresh off the line doughnuts to take in with me for all the staff and volunteers today.)
