Lunch should have its own thread

Our work are doing a special jubilee barbeque.

It's raining. They ran out of wedges as the side. Then they served me my hotdog. I sat down to eat....no sausage in the bun :D only mild chaos then. Fanks yer magde!
 
Mixed roast nuts (unsalted).


I noticed that I've got 8 tins of beans that are about a year beyond the best before date - I should try one to see if I'll die from poisoning.

If they aren't blown out they'll be fine. If they are blown, dispose of them carefully, don't try to open (nearly took my thumb off once when a blown tin of tomato puree exploded when I pierced it with the tin opener - it ripped in half with a great big jagged metal tear, thankfully I wasn't holding it, it was on the kitchen counter, but it did cut the hand that was on the turny bit of the opener.)

They're all perfectly intact - I would chuck them if they were rusty or blown.
 
OH did himself some fried eggs and beans on toast when he got in from work, which means there's half a tin of beans in the fridge - looking forward to beans on toast for lunch! I have mushrooms too so might fry some of those up as well.

Actually scratch that, I think I'll have a fry up for tea instead, I've also got sausages and bacon and I think there's 2 eggs left an all.

So lunch will be marmite on toast and an apple.

EDIT: Nope, clearly not fully awake yet, I have lettuce that needs using so a cheese/pickle/lettuce sarnie and an apple

I had:
two small keto pancakes (coconut flour, cream cheese, eggs, made a batch and froze them at the weekend)
kefir yoghurt
blackberries
blueberries
toasted almond flakes
slice of Morbier cheese
Greek coffee made with carob, cardamom and fennel seed
 
Jollof rice stuffed pepper, made by one of the students in the school I was visiting today. It was bloody lovely, the school caterers could learn a thing or two tbh.

Also a shitload of tasty fruit, Celebrations and mini doughnuts.

proscuttio ham with a thin layer of Dijon mustard, a big dollop of cream cheese, pepper and a couple of cornichons, all rolled up into a two-bite treat of savoury loveliness.
