Lunch should have its own thread

I made a veggie stew yesterday using up all the wilty stuff in the fridge and it is fucking fit. Baby corn, onions, garlic, broccoli, red and yellow peppers, ancient aubergine, fresh parsley, tin of kidney beans, pinch of chilli, a good shake of smoked paprika, tin of toms and some veg stock. Fucking well nice, and made enough for 4 big lunches.

Quite a tasty lunch. Left over rice and veg from last night with some added salad and chorizo.
Totally famished now though as it was quite a small portion and I ate it at 12 before my driving lesson.

This is brunch- An Ostrich and Dijon mustard with mayo sandwich on rye and a mango & raspberry smoothie made with macca, chia seeds, coconut water and Greek yogurt.

My Ukrainian MIL made us an amazing traditional lunch yesterday: fried courgette with a garlicky yogurt sauce, some mega garlicky aubergine and tomato stew, roasted peppers and onions, mashed potato and a porky thing for the omnivores. Sweet pancakes with cottage cheese and sultanas for pudding. (I love this woman. How she survives living with my dour, self loathing, turbo homophobic FIL I will never know.)

Day at my mum's, still feel like I could pop!
Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, proper square roasting tin one not the bought round things, horseradish sauce, roasters, mash, sprouts, red cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, bread sauce.
Lemon pudding and cream for afters.

Posh pot noodle type thing, a banana that had gone a bit black from being bashed about it my bag and couple of rice cakes. Someone's baked some chocolate and almond muffins so I might have one of those in a bit

Taco salad bowl. I had one yesterday when I burnt the wrap I was warming in a dry pan by accident, so filled it with beetroot salad, cold chicken, coriander, fennel seeds and hot sauce.

It was delicious  you can tear bits off as you go and eat the soggy bottom when you're done :thumbs:

Today I did it on purpose, but with falafel and lime pickle instead of the chicken and hot sauce.

I'm sure it's already a thing, but I'm pleased with it

My husband's family do this
Tried it once but didn't like it.
The boy loves it though so the family tradition will carry on.

But it goes all melty and you get molten cheese mixed in with your soup! I had never considered that anyone might not like this

Today the old favourite of zesty bean quinoa with avocado, sazon, parsley and lemon juice.

A can of chickpeas with salt, chilli flakes and more of the posh oil eaten out of tupperware: the last clean receptacle in the flat

Southern fried Quorn burger in a wholemeal roll with watercress, home-made pickles, mayo, hot sauce and ketchup. Now possibly red bean chocolate brownie cake and coffee.

Meant to say, sojourner, I made parmiggiana at the weekend with a fucking ginormous beast of an aubergine from my mum's allotment that fed a family a four, with leftovers :D Your recipe was lush, thanks  And I had some for lunch yesterday or day before (relevance to thread). Lidl prawn noodlegate a mere memory
