Lunch should have its own thread

One can of taco beans, plus one can of haricots, home made bread (a rather overly-salty Tesco wholemeal mix), plus tahini - washed down with tea. :(

Today I have Soreen and Big soup in my drawer.
Too lazy/weary/poor to stroll to town to add anything to this odd little combo.

I'm starving and can hardly wait - I'm having cumberland sausage rolls, yoghurt, crisps and a banana :) i'm forcing myself to wait 10 more minutes.

I've got some homemade leek and chickpea soup and I think it's probably the best soup I've ever made. Tis lush beyond words....

I made a gorgeous roast dinner roll last night. I know it's delicious because I ate the first one last night. I remembered the 2nd one all this morning while I was getting ready then again when I was on the bus!

I've been thinking about it all morning.

:(

No bread left at home this morning so gonna stroll down to the sooopermarche to grab the 'credit crunch lunch' items.

Have got the princely sum of £7.15 to see my through the week and restock the home bread/milk supplies. Should be able to stretch that pretty far I reckon :)

Leftovers consisting of pasta with a spicy sausgage, broad bean and tomato sauce thing. Plus various fruit, and two pieces of malt loaf with butter.

Young's "Mariner's Pie", frozen peas and tinned tomatoes.

Every civilised office should have a microwave - though I need to move it nearer the window and further from the smoke sensor in the corridor.

You had a fish pie? At work? I bet your co-workers LOVE you.

I had a tuna, sweetcorn and cucumber sandwich. It was adequate.

I found a rotting cucumber at the back of our work fridge today.
By the look of the thing it had done a couple of weeks in there at least!

I might have beans on toast too or a bacon sarni. :hmm:

Or... bacon, toast, mushrooms and beans.  I haven't had breakfast so am starving.

Found a jar of stuffed vine leaves at the back of the cupboard, so 4 of them

Not the tastiest I've ever had, but better than boring toast or butties again

cheese sarnie with multiseed bread, grated cheese and mayo with celery and radish.

Slice of pork pie.

A plum

Homemade banana bread.

I had one of those Pret no bread salads. Which are crap tbh. I mean, you get a bit of salad and a huge dollop of hummous and spicy yoghurt. You NEED bread to eat it with. You CAN'T just eat these things on their own!!
So of course you end up buying your bread seperately, making the whole 'no bread' thing a complete farce.

I won't be buying one of those again, that's for sure!!

sauteed scallops with dark kale, delicious tomatoes, crushed chili and basil

I am still a bit hungry, though, as I ended up eating about 2 hours after I'd imagined I would.
