I'm loving all the healthy food here!

I had a half a tuna sweetcorn sandwich on wholemeal bread and a rice cracker with almond butter (this stuff's ingredients say 99% almonds and 1% salt, so i know these fats are 'good' ones) and there's plenty of protein in there to help break down the fats of the steak I am gonna have later. The almond butter tastes pretty much identical to Sunpat or any peanut kind, apart from not as sweet, and much nicer.

Interesting piece here on how healthy fats help stabilise your body.

Today I had discounted crumbed and smoked ham on a leftover white roll, with dijon mustard (oh fuck yeh!) on it, and a bag of crinkly cheese n unyun crisps.

breakfast & lunch moulded into one meal, since I had no food in the house at proper breakfast time. So porridge, berries and cashew nuts. Then an olive roll with beetroot and cucumber. Half an orange. And I think another cup of tea now. All sounds fairly healthy so far....doubt it'll last. I have such a headache & what feels like PMT. Those 2 things plus miserable weather are pretty much demanding I eat chocolate very soon.

Saturday's was nuts and dried berries ... sitting on a park bench ... being eyed by squirrels with bad intent ...

Actually it started with a squashed pear on a bridge 3 miles away (I got up yesterday morning and plonked myself in my computer chair and forgot I'd put it there) ..

Bean soup (made with veg stock, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, savoy cabbage, black eyed peas and kidney beans, tin of tomatoes, parsley and rosemary). Added half a chopped avocado, toasted pinenuts and parmesan on top. Incredible - anyone could make this - and superhealthy and filling. Will be making it again.

cheap bag of crispy salad from Aldi
can of chickpeas
honey and mustard dressing.

I added tahini to the left-over dressing and mopped it up with the left-over weekend bread.

Well, I was thinking of a bacon sandwich, but for some reason I've gone off that idea. :hmm: Probably something vegetarian, and without mayonnaise.
