Lunch should have its own thread

Baked spud with a load of melted Double Gloucester cheese on top, and a packet of roast veg couscous. Now, a ginger tea and some choccy hobnobs

No supermarket Bombay potato to be had yesterday (my new alternative to hummus with my Saturday lunch baked potatoes so I settled for a tray of those rather lack-lustre Indian snacks.

Today's lunch was two samosas and two mini-bajis microwaved with a left-over baked potato and a can of cheap mushy peas - which worked rather well.

Grilled chicken, marinated in a secret chilli/crack sauce, chips, rice, salad and pitta bread. Extra chilli sauce. Diet coke.

Triple carbs  caff

A very thin slice of toast which almost imploded under the weight of a whole, very ripe mashed avocado and some artichokes in garlic oil, and a crunchy layer of salt  Take that, heart!

Cooked cubed chicken (from the freezer) gven a slightly tame sweet and sour treatment by microwaving it in pineapple & coconut smoothie (it was a bit too harsh on the mouth and throat as the pinapple bit hadn't been heat treated) combined with chicken stock concentrate.

A reduced cooked half chicken off the Tesco deli counter, a "hot & spicy" scotch egg which was shit and a bottle of cucumber, pineapple & spinach smoothie.

Yesterday. Three medium rolls of Adana. Garnished with Chili and garlic sauce. For the meager sum of £6, can't complain.

Today: pasta with yogurt, garlic and fried mince.

This in particular

Sounds incompatible to my tastebuds. Combining pineapple and spinach?

It just kind of tastes like green juice. Which is the most unhelpful description ever if you can't see colours, sorry  but I don't know how else to explain it. The spinach taste wasn't that obvious and the cucumber watered everything down a bit so it just tasted like a smoothie only less sweet than if it only contained fruit. It was nice :)

Double Gloucester, onion, and babyleaf salad butty on white toasty bread, bag of Walkers cheese n onion, and now about to launch into some leftover Milk Tray and blueberries
