I don't want to get into too much detail about this for obvious reasons, but I will note that the reason that rumour has "been around for years" is because every group it's been taken to (including the AF and IWW) has investigated and found no case to answer. As people may remember from ooh, less than a week ago, half-understood Twitter beefs are not a great source of information.

Well presumably the named individual was involved with excluding certain groups for having the wrong position on various issues. And now the finger is pointing at them for far worse things.

Scene eating itself. They jump to denouncements given half a chance and wonder why they collapse/explode as scenes. Have seen this happen in a number of these identity political or social groups who spew vitriol at anyone they think is 'problematic' and then often the finger points very quickly at the denouncer/s. In the city I lived in a bit ago it was a full time job keeping track of the splits and denouncements within about 50 people.
