My instinct is agreement. But...

Whilst aware of the phenomenon that is SE, I was previously unaware of quite how deep it goes with him. I was one of the many that was initially (years ago) suckered in by the romanticised notion of the bohobo, and when having his history pointed out just retched a couple of times and stopped engaging.

But, triggered by this thread I now really get why some posters' reactions to his shit are so vitriolic and passionate. Threads I had no knowledge of, and which haven't been recanted or regretted by our vagabond hero, which read as nothing less than the self-justifications of a truly alarming individual. I genuinely believe that this man is a danger to others.

A Dateline style response - organised well away from U75's legal responsibility of course - would not be disproportionate. IM, H, O.

This is an important point. Any Blog owner has the control to review and delete posts/comments should they want to. Stan chooses not to which is strange given how nasty some are. And no, that is not victim blaming, it's highlighting that he absolutely has a choice.

Yeah, me too. But having read back over some of those threads - it's not just 'off' opinions, it's much more than that. Real self-justification of things that I'd best not describe for risk of getting the terminology wrong. It's the self-justification element that's probably the most alarming. It's pretty clear where that mentality will end up, whether now, or if he delays gratification until his 60/70s.

I'd best bow out. Reading his shit has made me too angry to rely on myself to respond objectively.
