Kim Jong-un 'looking a wee bit peaky' speculation here

Ok, Now I see the fertiliser references, and the BBC Aljazeera and Guardian seem to be repeating the story which originated in one KCNA NK news agency. But is it true? No pics!

KCNA news agency reports that the North Korean leader cut the ribbon at the opening of a fertiliser factory.

It adds that people at the factory "broke into thunderous cheers of hurrah" when he appeared.

Everybody in the crowd shot from that video is wearing a mask - since North Korea is probably the country most willing and able to enforce mask-wearing extremely rigidly, and also to isolate - or execute - anybody infected with COVID-19, maybe their claim to be completely virus-free isn't as ridiculous as it seems.

Credit where credit's due, - that is some fertiliser factory, its more of a "fertiliser village" or "fertiliser small town".. they sure know how to build decent fertiliser factories in NK!! :)

They are quite obsessed with fertiliser factories in DPRK. I once got to visit the Hŭngnam complex on the east coast - a fairly large but dated one. There, so I was told, on one of his many, many (too many*) visits the Great Leader once famously said "fertiliser is rice and rice is socialism" (or words to that effect). Their multi-use potential for chemical weapons production, explosives and rocket fuel might also be part of the appeal (there is, now, a sold rocket motor fuel production facility next door to it).

* The visitor's museum is just room after room after room after room of turgid exhibits each one dedicated to a different visit made by the Great and Dear Leaders. I think we got to room 27 (out of about 40) before we successfully persuaded them that we would like to see the factory itself.

Shots exchanged on the ROK border, back with a bang.
Maybe they were just celebrating KJU being up and about again

North and South Korea exchange gunfire at border

North and South Korea have exchanged gunfire in the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) which divides the two countries. Gunshots fired by North Korea at 07:41 (23:41 BST) hit a South Korean guard post in the central border town of Cheorwon, Seoul's military said.

No casualties were reported on the South Korean side. In response, South Korea fired "two rounds of gunfire and a warning announcement according to our manual", the military statement said.

(that was supposed to be a link to the story on the BBC, but for some reason I can't insert the link, or do the quote...)

In this photo it has the date 2020 5 1 (1st may 2020 if written in YYYY M D format) on the board behind him. Any photoshop experts here? Fake or real? :hmm::hmm:
Also can anyone read the Korean characters on the board?
