Kevin Rye offers his Structured Answers to Questions Thread

Where's Kevin?

Word on the street is that Kevin is no longer 'structuring dialogue' for Meadow. He seems to have consulted himself out of a job.

BYE BYE, MISTER KEVIN RYE
TOOK THE MONEY FROM MEADOW AND TOLD ALL THEIR LIES
THE HAMLET FANS WAVE YOU GOODBYE
SINGING THIS IS THE DAY YOUR REP DIED
THIS THE DAY YOUR REP DIED

*all together now, to the tune of American Pie*

Superb.

You've gone awfully quiet Kevin, during the one time that fans really need some structured dialogue and fan engagement.
This would suggest that you're fucking shit at your job. A complete failure.

*I've added his name to the thread title in the hope that it might remind him that he's supposed to be answering questions. It'll also make it easier for anyone using Google to look him up.

Kevin Rye - specific question, then. Why did Meadows feel it was appropriate to threaten to lock the club out of a match, at all, and specifically at short notice?

Sure this is just shouting questions into the void now, but still.

Where haver you gone kevin ? you seemed to very enthusiastic to get the truth out there and make sure everyone knew what was going on.

Looks like you went to ground at the same time the trademarks went through and the DHFC.com site was registered in Bermuda.

You know that your lack of continued engagement with the board may lead some people to think you are a less than upstanding fellow (not me of course)

you still on the meadows books ? your twitter feed seems remarkably DHFC fact free for someone who was so very interested late last year

He emphasised that he was being employed as a consultant.

I assume that if he stopped being employed as a consultant, he'd stop engaging on behalf of his former payers.

For a man whose prime skill set is claimed to be all about effective communication with football fans, you might have thought he'd take a moment to do just that.

To be fair he's been quite impressive about his input into crisis clubs in the past two weeks or so. Strangely quiet on the Hamlet mind. I'm sure it's an innocent mistake and he hasn't sold his principles down the river.

Prove me right please Kevin.....

For the record, Kevin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
He is legally obligated to say that he is a paid Consultant.

Please don't think that he was simply being upfront and honest.

If he engaged in sock-puppetry or Astroturfing, he'd be in breach of their Code of Conduct. Not that the CIPR's CoC is worth anything, as it's a Kangaroo Court of Arbitration.

Has there ever been a more incompetent "Structured Dialogue & Supporter Communications Consultant" than our Kevin?

What a spineless coward he turned out to be.

Yup, figured so.

Just saw comments about him popping up around other clubs and thought I'd chime in on the point - I know he said he was a paid sock-puppet, but it wasn't because he thought he might not be seen to do so, but because he was obligated.

Anyway, I was watching at the time it was happening & it was obvious enough you guys saw through it.
Chimed in with a quick phone call to Mr Chairman and gave him the background details on the clubs Kev was claiming to have helped out (+ my personal opinion of his efforts).

I just wanted it on the record, because I saw this thread being reopened.
He wasn't trusted at the other places he popped up at, which he was using to bolster his CV and appear to be trustworthy.

Sooner we get people like him out of the game, the better.
Might actually follow up on that thought with some calls to clubs...

Kevin, if you ever tune back in :-
Why not just watch football, mate?
Your 'skillset' isn't needed and, as far as I'm aware, has only used to Astroturf for the bad guys or to provide a friction-free layer when terrified management wants to take the heat away.

Oh, and you didn't invent 'fan engagement', or bring it to the public consciousness, you muppet...
"as someone who helped bring to the public consciousness terms in football like ‘engagement’"
The London Football Exchange: It’s disruption, not ‘democracy’

If there's something I can't stand, it's someone who's done a course and then goes around using buzzwords as if an academic theory has any standalone value in real life.
Go on, bring those buzzwords to the Den - let's see how that goes...

I've got more followers than our Kev, and I'm not even on Twitter.

Oh, he's using his involvement in so-called 'fan-engagement' at The Hamlet[TM] as a testimonial on his website...have you seen this shite?

Testimonials
We engaged with Kevin as soon as he became available after parting company with SD. For our first round of meetings he was careful to maintain integrity and impartiality, which has stood us in good stead since – in terms of the drafting of campaigns and appropriate literature, I can’t speak highly enough. I would say that as an adviser, his knowledge of the game, its fans and how to communicate effectively with them is second to none – he is a fan, he is a PR man, and his specialities mean that he is respected within the game.”
Matt Rimmer, Head of Communications, Hadley Property Group (former property advisers at Dulwich Hamlet FC)

So, was he involved in the situation before actually popping up on here? Rimmer's quote clearly states so.
In the alternative, if Cap'n Kev was only involved when he popped up here, then Hadley were still involved whilst Meadow were the ostensible Client.
On that point, I am far from convinced that the separation of Meadow & Hadley is anything other than a paper exercise - based on having looked at all of the Closely-Held Companies involved in this sad state of affairs.

Rimmer also implies that Cap'n Kev was drafting campaigns and literature to Astroturf the situation.

And respected within the game? Nope. Been around the block a few times myself and I can honestly say that his involvement in various clubs is not recollected fondly by people at those clubs.

Quisling. A damnable Quisling.
I'd love it if he were to bring Suit against me. Love it. Absolutely love it.

What's the betting that disappears as soon as he realises it is there? Don't think anyone googling for further details would get the impression it was a success tbh.

I almost, and I stress almost, feel sorry for Kevin. What has happened in the past few weeks is a case study for him. A club and fans working in harmony to agreed goals blah blah structured communications blah blah.

Yet Kevin despite his presence online, twitter etc. both of which he has updated numerous times since the chaos of eviction, trade marking etc. broke has been strangely quiet about Dulwich.

It's almost as though he fears some uncomfortable questions being posed if he speaks. Alternatively perhaps he's worried the club have achieved this without feeling the need to hire a structured communications officer. Or perhaps both.
