Keir Starmer's time is up

Just Stop Oil have also joined the protests today:

It's almost like some people can see beyond the crude stereotypes of farmers and are rightly raising the more profound consequences.

Meanwhile, London born and Surrey raised Keir Starmer claims he's basically from farming stock...

The farmers aren't protesting about climate change though, they're protesting about the prospect of paying half as much inheritance tax as everyone else.

Some interesting patterns in the constituency heat map.

Interesting little graph from the Statesman:

This is a Reform petition. It does not correlate with Conservative support (and nor should Conservative activists be excitedly measuring up their re-election suits). While undoubtedly anti-Labour, this is not pro-Conservative. The petition is a symptom of the growing politics of “neither red nor blue”.

would be interesting to cross-check people who have signed this petition with people whose reaction to anyone who wasn't entirely satisfied with tory election wins and / or the brexit vote was 'you lost, shut up'...
As opposed to the dyed in the wool Labour supporters i know who did anything but accept the result of the referendum.

Rachel Reeves watch:

NEW: Rachel Reeves says she has “no intention” of bringing back the bankers bonus cap - scrapped in Liz Truss’s disastrous mini-budget - saying she wants to be the “champion” of a thriving financial services industry.

Shadow chancellor told BBC: “The cap on bankers’ bonuses was brought in the aftermath of the global financial crisis and that was the right thing to do to rebuild the public finances. But that has gone now and we don’t have any intention of bringing that back.”

Source: Bankers' bonuses: No cap under Labour, says Reeves - BBC News

Senior bankers in the UK will receive their bonuses faster and fewer will have to wait several years to receive their payouts under plans set out by the Bank of England on Tuesday ..."

"Stabilising the economy"?

Why has the "Prime Minister's office" issued an apology then?
Because that’s politics, people make a lot of noise and it’s easier to just say sorry and move on. Note: no one is talking about this now.

And anecdotally I’ve had zero conversations about this anyone in my family. Which to me just shows how much of a Westminster bubble story this truly was…
