Keir Starmer's time is up

Not sure which thread to post this on. But this is the kind of shite popping up in my YouTube feed. And it is certainly not the kind of things I search for.
This is external influence of some kind. Just a shame, in this post truth world, we have no idea where from.

so we dont click on it and therefore make it more likely others will see it can you describe the content?

The video starts with a TikTok British man’s voice over a collage of pictures of Keir Starmer. The man’s voice is not unlike Keir Starmer’s own voice.
“Well Britons have had their say,
But Starmer’s been stunned into silence,
And is only focused on what Starmer wants to do,
Banning fun
Taking fuel allowances away from pensioners,
And taxing you to allow illegal immigrants into the country,

Well Britons have had their say, and now surely now he cannot be keep making silent on the matter (sic), or can he?
Hit the like / subscribe key to join our fast growing community. “
The video then goes on to talk about illegal immigration been a massive problem for everybody across the entire political spectrum in the Uk. And makes a load of further false claims. Then a story about boat arrivals. And then some stuff about Elon Musk.

So basically it’s another fake news channel. It’s probably the conservatives. It was pretty lame. But it’s very easy to see how people are getting wound up, watching and believing this nonsense.

It's not a British mans voice, it's that shitty horrible creepy af conspiracy txt-voice that makes anyone vaguely sane switch it off straight away.
Has a kind of mansplaining tone.

Yes that annoying sort of tiktok voice. But what concerns me is why is it appearing in my YouTube feed which I try and keep quiet from nonsense. I like hiking and travel videos. But since that awful event in Southport my fed has been filling with this kind of shite.

Rather than not finding a suitable thread, there seems to be too many Blair threads for me to pick the right one, so as this interview is promoting a "how to be leader" type book and there's some references to "Blair doesn't want to be seen as giving advice to Starmer but....", I'll put it here

As prime minister, he tried and failed to introduce state ID cards. He argues that digital ID will “happen eventually” and is contemptuous of resistance to it. “People give more information to Netflix and Amazon than they do to government for a digital ID. It’s ridiculous.” Nor does he share any of the qualms about exploiting NHS health data for medical research. “I personally have absolutely no problem with that at all. Take some of the rare diseases. If countries were sharing their health data on some of the rare diseases, you would accelerate by a factor of five, 10 times the research in these things.”

Bit old now, but I've only just got around to reading this profile of Labour Together:
Thanks for sharing. That sums up the problem quite nicely. Plus ça change...

Just because he's a massive prick... stopped clocks and all that. Though it's worth saying that I opposed his particular implementation of a national ID card, I don't think they're inherently a bad thing.

It's quite a revealing article. Blair admits he does not have a scientific mind. He enthusiastically advocates for various scientific ideas and is easily led by interest groups, as evidenced by his over-the-top advocacy of AI, which he clearly doesn't understand very well.

A barrister, like Starmer. Trained to make arguments from particular points of view on subjects that may only have fallen into their laps hours earlier, with the goal of winning the argument under a strict set of rules, not achieving something like 'truth'.

Recent poll and looks Ike voters are starting to question this government strategy and Starmer. Honeymoon is over.

Reducing the fuel allowance for pensioners looks now like a mistake. As its given voters idea that its not going to be those with the broadest shoulders who are going deal with things getting worse before they get better line of Starmer.

However, Starmer has also taken huge hits on being in touch (from a net score of +4 in June to -14 now), on being likeable (-1 to -12), and on being trustworthy (-3 to -11).

This seems likely to store up problems for the government even in their first few months, unless they get better at communicating their long-term strategy.

Eh, they're doing the smart thing and being unpopular now in the very realistic hope that things will be better by the next election. Sunak's timing isn't looking so bad, as the Tories would have had to do the same things themselves. Polls right now are basically irrelevant, except as an interesting thing for us to discuss.

It's a pity that they promised not to do the most sensible things to raise money. Increase income tax, reverse the NI cuts. Or abolish the 2% bracket. (or both) Though I'd prefer to see the back of NI, so long as it exists they may as well be sensible with it.

None of those are sensible because they will further impoverish working people. The sensible thing is to tax capital gains and dividends at least as much as earned income, and increase the 45% income tax bracket to 50%.
