Keir Starmer's time is up

Rachel Reeves watch:

NEW: Rachel Reeves says she has “no intention” of bringing back the bankers bonus cap - scrapped in Liz Truss’s disastrous mini-budget - saying she wants to be the “champion” of a thriving financial services industry.

Shadow chancellor told BBC: “The cap on bankers’ bonuses was brought in the aftermath of the global financial crisis and that was the right thing to do to rebuild the public finances. But that has gone now and we don’t have any intention of bringing that back.”

Except bankers bonuses mean redundancies....

Higher the bonus... lower the salary... less to pay out in redundancy payments

I was listening to the news this am whilst having my breakfast and this was a top story, I thought at the time there will be Urbs making annoyed posts about this, you have not disappointed me.
Trickle down innit, encouraging the wealth creators.

Nice to see the Labour party adopt another tory policy. Must say I'd have preferred shammer to announce it

Admittedly, I am a bit of a simpleton but the takeover of the Labour party seems like another example of the middle classes stealing any working class ideas and agency, degrading, monetising and basically shitting all over them. My contempt for Starmer is unbounded.
Did you know clement Attlee attended a public school and derived his ideas on social welfare from taking part in its mission while a public school boy in a poverty-stricken area of London?

So I'm struggling to think of any Labour policies that aren't actually the same as Tory ones. Anyone...?
