Keir Starmer's time is up

I see on twitter there is a plot by Tories to out Sunak and replace him with either Braverman or Badenoch. I wonder what these people are drinking. Badenoch seems to be keeping her head down until after the election but she's okay on the media, Braverman is awful in all areas. Starmer and his team must have their feet up.

It's all right to call the events in Cambodia genocide, when they were not, strictly speaking. You don't get suspended for mistaking crimes against humanity for genocide in Cambodia.

From a bit earlier in the month, but quite useful for illustrating how limited the Starmerite obsession with right dogwhistles has been at actually grabbing Tory votes - they're far more reliant on Reform's challenge on the Tory right and nearly as dependent on stealing from the Lib Dems.

Would imagine a big chunk of those claiming they'll vote Reform will crawl back verminwards on the day.

The joke is in the image so you'll have to click on it and go to twitter.

For those of you who throw your hands up in horror at the very thought see the spoiler.

Kier Starmer, the current leader of the opposition, is talking to some people who work at Iceland - the frozen food shop. Across three panels he says "If I say to you, we're going to change everything within two years, it's all going to be brilliant, I don't think you'd believe me and you'd be right not to". This is funny as he is summing up his total lack of ambition and recognising his critics' main argument whilst presenting what he thinks of as a winning point. The dick.

It won't be were you still up for portillo but were you still up for streeting and, I really hope, shammer. I'd love it if Labour gained enough seats to leave parliament hung while shammer and streeting lose their seats and corbyn romps home

Muslims... just another focus group.

It looks - if the odious Robert Peston is to be believed - that the one genuinely progressive idea that Labour had is about to be dumped.

A vote for these clowns really is a vote for neo-liberalism and active support for more of the last 45 years.

As I’ve said before, Starmer will be a weak one term PM (the new Jim Callaghan) whose historical role is to usher in new populist conservativism…which promises to finish off what Starmer is ‘too weak’ to do
