Specifically a Railway novel. But it’s about a privatised train operator who decides it’s cheaper to murder passengers than deal with their complaints. I’ve spent 20 years working on the railway so it has a critique of the franchise system.
I’d describe it as a satirical action thriller. Kind of Ian Fleming and Chuck Palanhuik having a car crash with Tom Sharpe and Douglas Adams. I was very inspired by old Ealing comedies like I’m Alright Jack and The Man In The White Suit. Where a wide eyed innocent is surrounded by corruption and turpitude on all sides. As well as Waugh’s Paul Pennyfeather.
Its available at all online platforms and also to order as a softback from any bookstore.
