Fuck, It doesn't sound good for Coney Island. There's multiple reports of the third floor of the hospital on fire and the Fire Dept not being able to get to the building because of the flooding.

There are two Fire Department Station Houses very near the hospital and the roads are open.

I'm really seeing the worst of Twitter now, with unconfirmed reports of various tragedies being amplified, exaggerated and then passed on as fact to the next person who does exactly the same and so on and so on.

Wouldn't a lot of that be down to the lost day/days of trading?

dunno it was quite interesting listening, she was saying there is an initial big outlay as people need to fix their houses but it sort of stabalises as the insurance payments come through. And restaurants won't recover from lost revenue whereas construction firms will be doing better and supermarkets sell all their stock in 24hrs but then lose income for a few days. But over the last few days there has been big spending on construction materials and food etc. Travel/airlines are going to take a big hit.
