How was your cycle commute?

Cycling to work in the dark these days I gave up navigating a roundabout on the dual carriageway I must cross and took to pushing my bike over the adjacent pedestrian crossing. But the rules seem to have changed.Very many motorists will power through on a red light if they think either that noone is crossing or they can get by without knocking you down.I cycled for years when i was younger and i dont remember this being a regular occurrence.

for big roundabouts I always use the pedestrian crossing. sometimes cycle across and sometimes walk (depending on the crossing). As a wise person told me, a green light doesnt mean its safe, it means it legal!
Still, when their light is red and mine is green, I have to do a check that everyone is stopped. The delivery riders dont like that 1 second delay! There are some crossings on my route that always have 3 or 4 cars go through after the red. Then the cars that have the green are delayed, so they think a few more can go through when their light goes red. And so on it goes ....... Just seems to be a thing at that crossing. By and large, the ped-x on my route are very good. Still cant take it for granted! No matter what lights you have or what you wear, drivers wont see you unless they look for you.
