Help me show my daughter that girls rock just as well as boys

The raincoats, girls schools. Also, The Runaways - have a feeling they were a record company creation, with sleazy intent. However they - and solo careers (lita forde, joan jett) - certainly rocked.

Get her some decks instead.
she already has access to 1210s and CDJs but until you know what music you like it's a bit pointless :)

and a laptop then. A very power instrument for producing music.
gven what bees does this side isn't an issue, but see above. She needs to know music more and she's really interested in female musicians atm so you run with what they are in to :)

I was about to suggest PJ Harvey too.

Also Lamb, Cat Power and Portishead, but I'm not sure how much those would appeal to a four year old :hmm:

Bees, you have easy access to a band with a brilliant female lead. Get littlun* in the studio with Shatter Effect, how could she not be hooked when she sees music being made close up?

*also me.

Kieza actually makes me sick when hear her history.

She joined the reserves of the Royal Canadian Navy becoming a NavCom (Naval Communicator).
It was while she was at crew singalongs at the Navy that she taught herself to play guitar (she also plays keys).
Meanwhile, she also entered the Miss Universe Canada pageant.
Kiesza took part in the Young Canadians, performing tap and jazz dancing, as well as theatre. She also trained as a ballerina, however, a knee injury at age 15 ended her ballet career.
When Kiesza was 18, she says that her parents' divorce caused her to write her first song, as a way of expressing her feelings. The same year, she heard a song of hers played on the radio.
Wrote songs for:
Gorgon City
Jennifer Lopez
Loreen

Anything she can't do / hasn't done?
