Help me show my daughter that girls rock just as well as boys

My 4 year old daughter is now starting to really get into music, has her first electric guitar and wants to play the drums as well. So I'm putting together a playlist for her, covering any and all genres/eras, to try and show her that the whole rock and roll thing isn't just for boys.

So, any and all recommendations welcome - female fronted/soloists as a minimum, bonus points for other band members being female as well, special prizes for all female bands.

:)

one problem about rock n' roll is that it doesn't matter if a band's all boys or all girls, in the vast majority of cases they are just money makers for the record industry. i am sure i am not alone in recalling interviews with the bangles from the late 1980s where they said they wanted to show girls could form a band too. a petty ambition, imo, unless more power's held by the bands and less by the corporates. that's the second thing i'd say to your daughter - girls can rock but it is just as important to maintain power or control over your compositions and output although this obviously isn't something which would immediately filter through to a four year old.

Dude, she's 4. I think right now seeing and hearing some good female fronted stuff is enough :D

She might be too young for Joni Mitchell, but Patti Smith, Cocteau Twins, Tina Weymouth
