That feels like a bold* move by the Labour group.
Wasn’t that into how the council handled it though?but there's been already an independent investigation into the Dewey affair.
discussed at the council around the end of January ish.

And I'm going to have Diane Abbott for an MP . FFS, I can't stand her!!
Abbott is odious, but Meg Hillier the current Hackney South MP is just as bad (she's been very evasive about faith schools, for example).
better the foul meg hillier than the repugnant abbott
Last night, a number of the people in Hackney who do not consider one of the borough's MPs, Diane Abbott, "odious" or "repugnant" or whose response to the mention of her name is "I can't stand her!!", responded to the decision of Sir Keir Starmer KCB KC MP to suspend her from the parliamentary Labour Party for nearly eleven months while his officials "investigate" a two paragraph letter which was 7-8 sentences in length, following the news this week that the Conservative Party's principal financial donor has called for her assassination.
Related footage and discussion of last night's protest appears below:

That tree that fell over into the new river path just off Seven Sisters Road about 6 weeks? ago.
Still there .
I’ve been nagging Thames Water about it. Which backfired as all they have done is put padlocks on the gates at either end of that path.View attachment 419393

Yeah , I noticed the locks - I took the picture from the 253 .I’ve been nagging Thames Water about it. Which backfired as all they have done is put padlocks on the gates at either end of that path.
So before you could still get down there and clamber over the tree if you were reasonably able bodied. But now you need to climb over two locked gates too.
Yes, I've noticed that, I guess they're not in a hurry to do anything as there is no sailing traffic on the New River and the ducks and swans can still pass underneath it.View attachment 419393

Trains will not run on the London Overground between Hackney Downs and Chingford for more than two weeks during the height of summer.www.hackneygazette.co.uk
Big transport news, Hackney Downs Station will be closed for over 2 weeks (may be longer) in July , a new bridge !
Looks like it's only the branch between Hackney Downs and Chingford that's affected, not the branch that goes to Seven Sisters. No trains on Overground route for more than two weeks at height of summer
