As you well know, I dress as a Victorian Lord when I walk around Hackney.

Yes, the gasometers are still there I'm glad to say, there has been a battle to keep them due to a redevelopment of the site. The last time I was in the area it looks like the larger one is being incorporated into flats, like they did with the ones near Kings Cross.Came across this pic of a hackney canal, love it. Hackney heads, are the gas storage frames still there? They got rid of the ones in northampton and I miss their skyline framing presence. Unneeded extra storage said the bods from govmnt.

Did you know the old house where Empress Coaches were before the redevelopment started was used in the film of Tinker Tailor..?

The mechanics we use for work is in Andrews Road on the north side of the canal and by chance I'll have to go there one day next week so I'll try to get some photos.

Youngs seem to be expanding , maybe they'd be interested.
Probably opposite hackney townhall which is not half as nice. And not really local. But it's easy to imagine that a new owner would put the prices up and I dunno where is left for the customers to go to that is nearby really.
I don't think you'd need to imagine it for longBut it's easy to imagine that a new owner would put the prices up and I dunno where is left for the customers to go to that is nearby really.
