Growing an Anarchist Movement

Ive been out @ the bank paying in money from my lodger. Had to get a taxi there and back. A bit knackered now. I see that no one has seriously questioned my premise of @narchism. :)

I think you missed the part where I said it is irrelevant what your politics are - get out into the community (kommune), find out together what is needed, and make a difference. Or is the idea of working with other people too filthy for you?

no the idea of working with other people is not filthy to me.

Im still trying to work out how to determine my own political biased..... i have views and such like but i dont know what parties my views lean towards

can urban help determine my political bias too?

Well, if you liked Thatcher's policies and think Mr Hitler was a good'un you may lean to the Right. If you like holding people's hand's and telling them what's good for them you may like Labour. If you like whining on about everything you may belong with the SWP. If you thought Castro was a top bloke you are a Socialist.

If you have a trust-fund then it might be difficult as you may either be an Anarchist, or Anti-Capitalist, its often hard to decide.

:hmm:

Never be a tory, its been bred into me..... as for labour i cant deal with a nanny state...... I dont really whine, i just get on with it...... I can understand why castro did what he did, but whether he went the right way about it is debatable

certainly not an anarchist or an anti capitalist lol.

Socialism (to me) is about people having control of their own workplaces and communities.
Bingo! Precisely, those who control the means of production, control society. Always have done, always will do.

In my opinion anarchists fetishize hirearchy. They give hirearchle relations, a life of their own, that can impose capitalism. They don't recognise that hierarchy in the class relations of capitalism, is mediated by those class relations, and that hierarchy in the class relations of a 'workers state', would be mediated by those CHANGED class relations. Besides the fact nobody wants to, a workers state in the UK, with 25,000,000 workers controlling the means of production, could not be turned into a state mimicking what happened in Russia.

A workers state, is a period of transition, where the workers have to, impose their will upon capitalist, some middle classes, some workers even. Like the capitalist state, the workers have to claim the sole legitimate right to the use of force. For at the end of the day, a picket line is an example, of where workers have always had to impose their will on of of workers. This is nothing new, but it is something very necessary at a time of social revolution.

PS. Obviously this does not apply to those anarchists mentioned earlier by zabo, that don't fetishize hierarchy.

Down with Anarcho-Landlordism!

Anyway, Shrek, I think you should just accept it: you're a Lib Dem. A Lib Dem, with Greenish tendencies. It's OK. No one's going to shoot you for it - not yet, anyway.

I do like anarchism though.

how many other people on here are anarchists and what flavour of @narchism do you subscribe to?

Anyway, I'm an anarchist, and I'd describe myself as an anarchist communist. This, to me, means that like Blagsta, I'm a socialist who thinks people should have control of their own workplaces and communities. Where I differ from some socialists is I think that means direct control, rather than control "in my interests" by a committee of very clever people with small spectacles.

Check out Anarchists in the Spanish Revolution by Jose Peirats. A good account of anarchism in practice during the civil war and an analysis of where the CNT-FAI went wrong. Emma Goldman's My Disillusionment With Russia is also a good reminder why Trots and Leninists are congenitally just as bad as Stalinists.

I think the same way and I'm a Trotskyist

Who are you accusing of doing that?
It's fun when Trots pose as democrats. Some of them can even do it with a straight face.
Yes danny, perhaps lie was a little harsh. Should have said;
it's even funnier when people subscribe to conspiracy theories, to sustain their sect beliefs.

So what is your position, do you also think me and spion are lieing, when we say?
I think the same way and I'm a Trotskyist

get some whacky mates, get drunk, take drugs, get a job for a couple of months, buy a pick up truck (or steal one)buy some guns, make a big flag/banner, declare war on democracy, drive around until you get shot or the truck breaks down

Did I say or in any way imply you were lying? I took your posts on face value.

You say "also", though. Was there something else you wanted to know my position on?

No, JHE did.

Ye. So do you accept this statement is false?
