I've always said the insanity peppers one ..... just voted, but it seems to be in the lead... WOOHOO!

The missus says that the poll won't count because this is a "druggy" website, and therefore biased towards the Insanity Pepper episode.:rolleyes::hmm:

Note: We're currently watching all simpsons episodes in order until they start to suck. Just started S4 and god I forgot how golden the golden years really were :)

Oddly enough, I have been pleasently suprised by the last few of season 20.

I haven't really been keeping up with them much of late, but downloaded a handful and chortled a few times.

Certainly better than most of the mid-teen seasons episodes I had seen.

I know most people don't agree, but I reckon the series was at it's best between seasons 3 and 12.

Went downhill after that.

I didn't rate the very early episodes either as the focus was on too much Bart and Homer was still in his infancy as a character.

Also, "You only Move Twice" should have been on the poll.

"I didn't even give you my jacket!"

You Only Move Twice and Das Bus are my personal favourites, the Mysterious Voyage one is also excellent though.

As someone whose only seen about 20 episodes, what is considered the "golden age" in terms of the series (now that it's generally acknowledged to be in decline)? Ta.

Anything from 3 to 12 is regarded as the finest television in the world.

Whats the one where he joins a cult?

Nah nah nah ner nah Leader!

My favs tend to be the Treehouse of Horrors ones though.

Sherrie Bobbins. for the songs.

'They're not perfect, but the lord says 'Love Thy Neighbour'
'Shut up Flanders!'
'okily dokily dooooo.......'

:D

S1 and S2 - finding its feet
S3 to S9 - Golden Age
S10 - The Beginning Of The End. Episodes that revolve around celebrities, Homer getting wacky job after wacky job. Eternal decline hereafter. Blame Mike Scully.

Look I'm all for putting a brave face on things but there is no face on that lima bean.

The one where Mr Burns kidnapps the 101 dalmation puppies to make into a coat, and Bart & Lisa try to get them free.

Also the snowplough episode is quite neat.

Oh, you're a bit stricter...

I have two series on boxset that I bought years ago in sales and never watched. Unfortunately, I just had a look and they are series 1 and 2! (maybe that's why they were so cheap.)

Too many to choose from but which is the Max Power episode?

"You don't snuggle with Max Power. You strap in and feel the G's."

That is a classic.

"Great name."
"Thanks, i got it off a hair dryer."

"Its powered by my own sense of self importance."

Shame Marge didn't go for Hooty McBoob.

Favourite ever epsiode is "Mother Simpson". Very funny but tinged with sadness at the end.

For the sake of the poll though ill go for Insanity Peppers.
"I hope i didnt brain my damage"

I voted for the Stonecutters one.

"And now for the final trial; the paddling of the swollen ass...with paddles."

I said shave off those sideburns, hippy!
that bit still makes me laugh

i have just finished going through them all and making sure i have seen them all.
Now i must rest.

www.wtso.net for all of them streamed

Not sure I have a favourite episode.

Have a favourite line though.

'But Maaaarge, with $10,000 we'd be millionaires'...or some such.

This Simpsons are iconic. A wonderful expression of the times they exist in.

You've omitted Homer the Heretic, despite its being frequently voted the best ever episode all over the Internet. Number two is Last Exit to Springfield, which I have have voted for.
