Funniest SitCom Episodes?

Up scumbag! See you Teddy Bear.

The Cafe Disco episode of The Office: An American Workplace is the most recent memorably wonderful sitcom episode I've watched.

Given the current political situation what could be more appropriate than Comrade Dad with George Cole and Doris Hare back in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Great Britain.

I think the Christmas special episode of IASIP is up there with Father Ted as one of the very few xmas episodes that I could stand to watch on an annual basis and it still be funny, at least for quite a while. The bit where they try to Christmas Carol Frank is so beautifully nightmarish:

Red Dwarf 'Quarantine' is up there for me. I remember when it first came on I think my brother and I just laughed continuously from the moment Rimmer appeared in the Gingham Dress.

Agree with that, the moment when Kryten demands to know why Lister always inspects the contents of his hankie every single time after blowing his nose is THE funniest moment in a sitcom ever.

There was a hilarious segment from "All in the family" that kept running through my mind for the longest time.
It always brought a smile to my face, and then someone on facebook linked to it.

I'm definitely a sock-sock type of person.

:D

I thought I was the only person in the world who was affected by that enough to remember it. The brilliance of the contrast between the person who thinks things should be done in the Right Way, which of course is Common Sense, and the fuck-me-can-you-really-pick-a-fight-over-this attitude of the other.

I know this is nearly fifty years old and it is not strictly the funniest episode, but the way the laugh is set up is good and I still find it hilarious now. Terry trying to discover Bob’s middle names.
Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads, S1,ep3, ‘Cold Feet’

A bit of light relief in these serious times ...

Del Boy falling through the bar in OFAH is obviously a classic but most of mine are from One Foot In The Grave.

The episode where Meldrew gets burgled: Monday Morning Will Be Fine (S3, E1) has a fabulously well-crafted beginning; and The Broken Reflection (S3, E3) ... the one where Victor puts the garden hose through the wrong door, actually had me falling out of my hospital bed with laughter when I had meningitis.

Your proper LOL comedy sketches please.

Links to vids would be good if you can find them.
The complete One Foot In Grave is all on iPlayer - ive never seen a whole episode before - it appeals to me a the moment for some reason - i watched episode 1 (series 1) the other night, its was average...but maybe I need to skip ahead to S3
Thanks for the tip

The first episode is actively depressing! You need to let the characters settle in.

I can only do these in split sections otherwise they take a whole episode up :D

That's 'Back to Reality', I think; which was also excellent.

I like the one where the ship is replicated 3 times with normal, a impossibly virtuous and totally evil versions created. Buggered if I know the name of it though.

(Can’t believe the love for OFAH on this thread - I hated it from start to its long overdue finish)
