Good things Trump has done as President

Our statues went up at the time and have context. A lot of the statues they arte taking down in the States only went up post Rosa Parks and integrated schooling..

That said. Sterling already had a rather fine monument. Does it really need a statue of Wallace/Gibson, either of whom was a cunt.

Trump has made it so that once the USMCA agreement is signed by the three countries, America can veto any trade deals that are made outside the three counties.

Wapo wants me to pay, but would to love what it says.......

"The Senate on Tuesday passed the most sweeping conservation legislation in a decade, protecting millions of acres of land and hundreds of miles of wild rivers across the country and establishing four new national monuments honoring heroes including Civil War soldiers and a civil rights icon.

...

The measure protects 1.3 million acres as wilderness, the nation’s most stringent protection, which prohibits even roads and motorized vehicles. It permanently withdraws more than 370,000 acres of land from mining around two national parks, including Yellowstone, and permanently authorizes a program to spend offshore-drilling revenue on conservation efforts."

Sounds more like "good things done despite President Trump" than "good things Trump has done."

I can see how they got Republicans to support it:
it makes all federal lands open to hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting unless otherwise specified.

Jesse Deubel, executive director of the New Mexico Wildlife Federation, said in an interview that expanding wilderness in his state will be a powerful lure for hunters seeking bighorn sheep, mule deer, quail and other animals. “People will travel to these places to pursue game in this wild, untamed habitat.”

I see the Trans-Pacific Partnership has already been mentioned. Did Trump fuck up NAFTA in some way, or did I imagine that?

Just look at the date of the last post!!!

Finally, America is going to start looking into the missing and murdered Native Americans.

Trump called the scourge facing American Indian women and girls "sobering and heartbreaking."

"We will leverage every resource we have to bring safety to our tribal communities, and we will not waver in this mission," Trump said. "We're taking this very seriously."

Trump's announcement comes days after Barr said the Justice Department would invest $1.5 million to hire specialized co-ordinators in 11 U.S. attorney's offices with significant caseloads from Indian Country to come up with ways to better respond to missing persons cases and committed FBI resources. Barr said the agency also would do an in-depth analysis of federal databases and its own data collection process

Going by the number of shady political types now in jail he's being quite effective at draining the swamp

It is an small improvement, but won't help some of the more common problems. It doesn't address puppy mills or their conditions. You can still breed animals in appalling conditions, and then throw them away when they don't produce any more. We need to expand regulations on animal breeding. Personally, I think anyone who breeds pets should be required to have a plan for what will happen to retiring animals when they're done breeding. Are they going to stay in place? Or, will they be re-homed?

What we also need is an animal cruelty registration list, so that anyone trying to sell or re-home an animal, can check it to make sure they aren't selling/giving it to someone who was convicted of neglect or abuse. There was a woman here who was told she couldn't have a lab puppy she had bought in her apartment. So she took it out to the woods, put it in a pet carrier, and left it to die. They figure it took it at least a month to die. I don't want that woman ever having a dog again. If it were up to me she wouldn't be allowed to breed new humans either, but that's just me.

Trump Has Spent $115 Million On Golf Trips ― Or 287 Years Of Presidential Salary
Trump often boasts of donating his White House pay, but taxpayers are shelling out much larger sums for his hobby.

HuffPost is now a part of Verizon Media

Like I said, 1.5 million? Fuck him!!!

this was on page 11 of this thread.
It's been a while since he did something good.

It's about trying to reign in the cost of medication in the USA.

Other policies in the mix include encouraging the domestic manufacturing of drugs in the United States, and policies related to the drug discount program for hospitals known as 340B.

But it is the order tying prices to those in other countries that is the most controversial. Trump proposed a version of that idea in 2018, called the International Price Index, shortly before the midterm elections, but it has stalled since then.

Many congressional Republicans oppose the idea, calling it a price control that violates free-market principles.

Many of the Americans who live in border towns with Canada come here for their insulin. It is a fraction of the cost here when you compare it to the US prices.

Initially, Trump was urging the Americans to come up here to get their prescriptions filled.

I'm glad he is trying to take a stand.
