Going up Snowdonia way, any recommendations? Really want mountain and sea.....

Mountain walking (small one) and some snorkeling and body boarding is what I'm after for this weekend. Any cool campsites by the beach or on the beach would be amazing!! Know any?

I've been all around there but never camped, sorry!

Barmouth is worth a visit though, as is Aberdovey. And Porthdinllaen is picture postcard pretty!

It's very well known so you've probably heard of it but there's Shell Island? Also smaller is aberafon.co.uk. a bit further north?

Great! Have taken note and is on my list. The plan is to go up the coast to Harlech camp for two nights, possibly a b&b on mon night, my bday and then back....

If scrambling is something you like Tryfan's fun.

I camped at this one http://www.hendremynach.co.uk/ about 4 yrs ago. It's just up from Barmouth, about a 15min walk along the beach road, and is right by the beach. There's a field for camping in and the best thing is you can park your car right next to your tent. The site's facilities are ok for price. In the week it was pretty chilled with plenty of space but at the weekend there's loads of families with kids (not my idea of a relaxing time!) but you'd probably get that anywhere else round there at this time of year tbf.

I camped at Llyn Gwynant time I went to Snowdon. It is at the base of the mountain by a lake. It near the start of the watkin path. The area is regularly featured as one of tbe most beautiful in Wales, like on postcards and things.

Got to go here! luckily / unluckily my man takes sooo flipping long to get ready- I mean he is like some kind of seriously dysfunctional time lord, who has got it wrong and just stands still whilst believing there is 48 hours in the day!! But if we had already left I would not have seen this! Looks Perfect! Also have now said that cus of his time wasting we have to stay till Wednesday!
