I doubt there’s anyone in this conversation who doesn’t appreciate there is a thriving, violent ultra-nationalist movement in Israel, or that the Israeli state isn’t happy to collaborate with them.

I remember the demo's in Israel from around the time of the first Intifada. They were massive, hundreds of thousands of Jewish Israeli's opposing the war and their government, calling for peace and a two state solution. Now? they can barely scrape up a couple of thousand. Permanent war is just vote gathering for Netanyahu (and those before him) and Labour have completely capitulated. Something, something reformism and imperialism combines to create shit.

You could go up to the north of England and make a video of old blokes in a pub ranting about brexit and immigrants , or find some students with blue hair at fucking Goldsmiths saying something daft about who should get cancelled, I don't think shoving a microphone at people in the street for YouTube is a great way to assess things
