I can see where he's coming from, the Israelis are practicing a form of apartheid against the Palestinians, an even more severe form than the SA white goverment, yet nobody is threatening to boycott the Israeli state.

so even though it would pass near unanimously few congress members would DARE to miss a pro-Israel tally? What would they have to fear if they did miss it?

Oh, I can see that w/regard the the treatment of the Palestinians, but, to me anyway, there's a couple of things there which really don't hold water, the way they are expressed. That I guess is my issue with it.

More seriously, though - to me it's important that things like this are 100% clear, easily checkable/citeable and are based strictly on the facts. Otherwise, it's easy for the Mark Regevs of this world to point at e.g. that ad and say "See? More lies from our enemies!".

Thanks (genuinely) for the offer. Unfortunately, I've got a bunch of personal crap to deal with over the next week (something I'd rather not discuss in public, if that's OK w/you), so I wouldn't be able to put something together in time say for this weekend's demos, for example.
