Game of Thrones Season 7

I read that stannis initially had longer lines in his final scene, showed some regret. But the way it was done, that 'go on then, do yer duty' was perfect imo. Weary and and totally stannis.

Yup. His regret and despair were all there on screen, it didn't need a whole monologue.

Seems to be quite common. Give the actor a nice long speech so they can declaim loudly and really dig their actorly chops into a meaty death.

But then film them just going 'ahh, bollocks' as well to give us what we want. And use that version.

A huge part of film-making (if not TV always) is editing. If you read scripts for even really good films they can sometimes be quite clunky and exposition-heavy.

And that's just episode one! ;)

Seriously it looks amazing. Dothrakis kicking off, Jon Snow having a pop at Little finger, Yara and Ms Sand getting saucy...three huge dragons!

Hopefully with the reduced number of episodes they're going for all killer, no filler.

I'm hoping for Hound vs Mountain, preferably during one of the battle scenes, carving through men to get to each other.

Spoiler alert!! I hadn't watched the trailer ;)

Only joking, looks great.

SAD NEWS (beats 'breaking' right?)

Season eight (i.e. the next one after this new one) is likely delayed until 2019!

It appears Benioff and Weiss have been taking writing classes from George RR and haven't actually started on it yet!

Srsy, Meera's got her work cut out for herself already - she can't be dragging Bran's kids around aswell

I quite like the idea of watching epic battles in the freezing North late at night when it's actually baking hot. (ie Can it start now please)

So will Euron get his ultimate baddie title by betraying humans and making common cause with the white walkers?

Ooh wow. Amazing first episode.

[spoilar]Joffrey is brought back to life by the wight king and kills his mother. [\spoilar]

In the books there is reference to a white stark ruling winterfell. One of the better innovations of the books was the contemporary doubt about history. Lots of threads left open. Tv and film always need to neaten everything up.

I assume it was Twatter, but I got it from Emergency Awesome's YT channel (which you should deffo be watching for all your nerdy TV needs)

He said that red priest(esse)s revive dead people the same way as the Night King does, so Jon Snow, Beric Dondarrion etc are Fire Wights
