6th June 12 – 4 Islington Green Picnic Islington Council and the London Farmers' Markets would like to invite you to celebrate the 5th birthday of the Islington Farmers' Markets, to mark the start of London Sustainability Weeks. You are invited to buy food for your picnic from the Farmers' Markets and join us for a fun day helping to make Islington a greener place. Cost: FREE, This FREE sports and music festival showcases ocean sports alongside live music, as well as a trade village with licensed bars and restaurants, demos, exhibitions, sampling, simulators and hospitality. One of the major aims of the GoldCoast Oceanfest is to highlight the oceansports industry, create awareness for ocean related causes and to encourage corporate participation in these endeavours. Oceanfest actively supports the efforts of the National Trust, RNLI, Surfers Against Sewage and the Whales and Dolphins Conservation Society who are all involved in the 2004 event.

Seating is picnic style. Refreshments will be available and there will be a licensed bar on Saturday and Sunday with a Firework Finale each evening.
Friday: The gates open at 6pm with bands starting at 7pm. These include: After4; Caught in the Zip; The Jeff Page Project; Inkus; 9foldpunch and State of Freedom with DJs Joey M and Boyzee.
Saturday: Alan Price and his band, The Vibes, with Stewart White compering.
Sunday: the 60-piece BRITTEN SINFONIA, led by Guest Conductor John Wilson, with a programme of popular classics from Tchaikovsky, Delius, Leonard Bernstein and others, plus a selection of film music including Star Wars, Gigi and The King and I. The evening also features local children who have been working on a creative music project with orchestra members. The concert begins at 8pm. Saturday 19 June until Sunday 20 June 2004 Charlbury Riverside Festival
This Festival can trace its roots back at least 15 years, and the organisers claim that it's the largest FREE festival of its type in Oxfordshire. Bands confirmed so far include: Dive Dive, Gods of the Ant People and Smilex.
Music starts on Saturday at 2pm going through until about 9pm. Events on Sunday begin at 1pm running until 8pm. Last year saw crowds of around five thousand people come to watch two days of music set on an 'island' in the River Evenlode.
Camping facilites are available at the cricket pitch and the railway station is just two minutes walk away from the festival site

CALM is an organisation tackling depression amongst young men across Manchester, Merseyside, Cumbria and Bedfordshire, and exists to help individuals deal with the problems facing young men today. Celebrating Sanctuary Launching UK Refugee Week 2004.
Now in its fifth year this festival offers a taste of the cultural fruits of sanctuary - a party filled with live music, dance, mime and poetry, stalls brimming with food, drink and crafts from many refugee communities and lots of unique workshop activities for children and families to enjoy.
This year's vibrant programme features: Reem Kelani (Palestine), Stella Chiweshe (Zimbabwe), Abdul Tee-Jay's Palm Wine A Go-go (Sierra Leone), Oojami (Turkey/UK), London African Gospel Choir (Uganda), Manteca (columbia), Romani Rad (Polish Roma) and more.
