You're never going to get on Top of the Pops with that kind of noise you knowFINALLY a review of the gig that actually mentions us: http://callofthewyld.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/fat-white-family-claw-marks-atomic.html
i think they even say we were better, right?
" It should all be a mess" equals "it was a mess" btw
Oh my just when i thought they coudn't get any better!
Proper lol"cynical" would be if i was promoting my own band, Atomic Suplex,'s next gig on 29th March at Power Lunches.
mind you if you don't like the sound of the fat whites soundchecking then you should definitely never see us (next saturday at power lunches) as this is our actual show (albeit the end of it):
I'd take having my record being played on BBC6.sounds like the kiss of death to me.
as played by ricky from the kaiser chiefs
Oh, so sneery and bitchy!next - song of the week on steve wright in the afternoon. Then they'll really have arrived.
So you're going to damn the band because of one person who happens to like them?I'm sure they can handle a bit of sneery bitching, what with their records being championed on mainstream radio by beige indie-rock stars.
I'm going one further and putting everyone on this thread on ignore. Including myself.once a band are in in Q then they're long over. i have burnt all my Fat White Family records and will from now on be pretending i never liked them.
Fucking hell. The UK music industry must be up shit creek if this lot of poseurs are the most important band in Britain
leaving the FWF out of it for a minute I think rock music might well be up shit creek at the moment - its not something i follow, but as i said on the Glastonbury on the Telly thread, the guitar bands i saw on that who got their sets filmed were pretty awful, and the general mood of music they were dishing out did feel like the rock spirit had long ago died. Glastonbury isnt really a rock festival, but still...Fucking hell. The UK music industry must be up shit creek if this lot of poseurs are the most important band in Britain
I agree, to a point... definitely if you look on big festival stages you won't find anything inspiring. It is still there in tiny niche scenes though, that look inward with no desire to break into the mainstream. Whether it is worth the effort to seek it out just depends on the individual.leaving the FWF out of it for a minute I think rock music might well be up shit creek at the moment - its not something i follow, but as i said on the Glastonbury on the Telly thread, the guitar bands i saw on that who got their sets filmed were pretty awful, and the general mood of music they were dishing out did feel like the rock spirit had long ago died. You went on and on and on and on about the Fat Whites supposedly being racists based on something you thought you might have happened, and used that as a basis to relentlessly criticise the band and those who liked them.I still can't figure out what your obsession with clapton is?
You've now posted 69 times in a thread about a band that you say you don't like, mainly attempting to damn them for something that was supposedly said by one drunken member in a pub over a year ago.Jesus. Yes, I confess, I love Eric Clapton. He's like my favourite artist ever Can't wait to get home to boogie down to some Sunshine, like i do every night.
I'm not the one here who is obsessed.
Don't know why you're bringing up fat white family's racism either. Do you really wanna open up that can of worms again? Right before they have their moment in the sun on the front of the UK's finest Dadrock mag?
