What does this post even mean? Who is being dealt with here? The racist in the band? The manager wheeled out to deny he's a racist? The idiots posting up here who blindly support said racist because they're apparently in awe of them, yourself included?

i have also tagged the person from the pub who was on this thread, asking if it was true. To be clear, i never suggested that context to the guy; i just thought it was the most likely explanation, given that he was quickly unbarred and is now hosting a show at the very same pub. it would be a total coincidence if what I thought was most likely to be true actually turned out to be true.

I wasn't suggesting you suggested it to him to be fair. Just that it had been thought up someone as an acceptable explanation and had he explained himself before that, it would have been more believable. His manager's on the thread so may have seen the suggestion, for example.

Anyway back on the topic. Do you accept that Saul's account of what happened at the grosvenor is most likely true, given the current evidence? yes or no.

I'm not saying that I don't believe him. I don't care about trying to work out the difference between "doing an impression of a racist hillbilly" and " doing a racist impression". I don't even really care much that there are two incidents, not just the one that you're concentrating on. It'll probably happen again.
