But what about someone who had known him (in passing, moving in the same circles sort of thing, no particular loyalty) for quite a few years before he was anything to do with "Liverpool" (but who also happened to like Liverpool)? I'd say the information that that person had never heard them say anything like this would be relevant. Also i have posted on this board for a long time, quite a lot of people know me in real life, so maybe for a few people my opinion counts for something. it is not like i make a habit of getting into arguments for the sake of it, or making stuff up.
