Added during manufacture rather than sprayed on by hand afterwards. I have a cotton raincoat that has a showerproof coating. It seems quite likely for a jacket.Like the sprays you get for shoes and coats? Even if the jacket was absolutely saturated with water and had been washed on an intensive cycle before the dye was used?
Probably much better at repelling dye than at actually being showerproof
Is there really not even a tiny part of it that's taken the dye - a label, the thread, the lining?
