I disagree, to a point. As the week went on, the conduct of their delegation was clearly out of order and the EBU was way to timid in dealing with them.

But they were booed at every turn by the crowd, they were called out by other artists, and they ultimately failed in nobbling the votes.

I am no defender of Israel, or their government, or their armies. Eurovision is a shiny floor reality show, and when measured against their peers, Israel failed. They lost. Their plan didn't work, and instead a non-binary, peace advocating person from a neutral country won instead.
