I thought it was pretty obvious with the wire notebook paper and name at the top that it was meant to look like an essay from a third or fourth grader, as Trump's level of understanding of this period in US history would seem about the same as that of an 8 or 9 year old. It's not mocking adults with literacy or spelling issues.
