Hey, Dean Yager!
Southern and Molyneaux tried to have one of their $99+ ticketed events to talk about eugenics and racism and migration in Auckland last weekend. A few weekends before the Mayor prevented them using any Council Venues for it, which sparked a 'but muh freeze peach' argument (which attracted one of NZ's supposedly left commentators, giving the organisers proof the left supported them ).
They tried to keep the venue secret but when it was announced it turned out to be one of Auckland's decent music venues, one with a history of diverse acts and decent reggae nights. Within an hour it was cancelled by the owners.
The counter protest still went ahead with about 1,000 folk in Aotea Square having a dance and singing some waiata.
Southern and Molyneaux were invited to exercise their right to free speech, by speaking for free, at a Free Tommy protest the next day. They declined . The Free Tommy protest was also outnumbered about 6 to 1.
Molyneaux put out a YouTube video begging for donations and left the country yesterday. The media didn't do a great job tbh, platforming them. But a lot of the pieces, once it was cancelled, turned into ones that disproved any statements they'd made, which was nice I guess.
Molyneaux, rabidly pro-closed borders, was searched by security as he left NZ. And complained. LOL. Southern will be off shortly too.
